    With the aim of promoting low-carbon and green development in the Chinese economy, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (referred to as 'Green Development Foundation') organizes the compilation and publication of the 'Green Development Series.' The first publication in the series is 'Analysis of the Development of China's Green Economy in 2023' (referred to as the 'Green Book'). Tang Renhu, the co-director of the laboratory, participated as one of the editors for this book.

    By combining the macro development direction in the new stage of development in China's steel industry, this research takes a micro perspective to study the key factors in achieving carbon peaking and moving towards carbon neutrality. It focuses on the green and low-carbon technologies in the steel industry, conducting a systematic analysis of emission reduction potential, emission reduction costs, and industry contributions. Additionally, a marginal emission reduction cost model for the steel industry has been constructed.
