Speech by Tang Renhu, Joint Director of the Laboratory

He mentioned that the dual carbon goal has become a medium- to long-term national strategy, and the change in energy structure will bring about a comprehensive transformation in the economic and social development model. From a market perspective, the key to developing green and low-carbon products is to integrate green design concepts throughout the entire process. During the product development phase, one must consider the environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle. Companies should formulate overall strategic development plans, establish proactive mechanisms, enhance carbon emission management to improve efficiency, strengthen basic capacity building, and promote standardized management for enterprises.

In recent years, green design, as a new productive force, has been continuously driving Chongqing's green transformation and development, enhancing its international influence as a green and low-carbon city. This injects new vitality into the construction of the "New Chongqing" and aligns with the development trend of becoming the "Design Capital."
