On December 4, 2023, in Dubai, Wuhan University and Blue Sky Carbon International co-hosted the 'Africa Carbon Initiative and Carbon Alliance' Technology Aid Action on the Global Climate Action & Tech Innovation Hub (CTI Hub) platform, initiated by SinoCarbon in collaboration with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). Amina Mohanmed, former UN Deputy Secretary-General and Chair of the UN Sustainable Development Group, announced the formal establishment of the alliance. Wuhan University and the East African International University, as initiating and leading institutions of the alliance, presented the collaborative content. The event was witnessed by more than 80 guests and organizations from over ten countries worldwide.

Blue Sky Carbon company has signed comprehensive agreements for forest carbon sink development and management with the governments of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The collaboration includes providing support in satellite remote sensing technology and the GFCR (Global Forest Carbon Registry) data management platform, offering comprehensive technical and managerial support for sustainable carbon trading. The cooperation has drawn significant attention from attendees, with several investment institutions, including Goldman Sachs and Temasek, expressing strong interest.

Global Forestry Carbon Registry: Innovative Response to Climate Change under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement with Satellite Technology Assistance

Blue Sky Carbon, in collaboration with Jianxin Fintech Corporation, has developed the Global Forestry Carbon Registry (GFCR) system, a high-tech platform that integrates satellite surveying and mapping data from Wuhan University. This innovative system supports the monitoring, certification, and registration of forest carbon sinks in accordance with the criteria of Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. It not only provides a secure pathway for participants to fulfill their nationally determined contributions (NDC) through the international transfer of emission reductions (ITMOs) transactions but also facilitates the implementation of collaborative climate change mitigation initiatives.
